A Thailand-based user reported a successful field test (WeChat, 2026-10, single-user, unverified): charged 238.09 THB (~US$6.99) via KBank Visa for what the app presented as a one-year number fee, passed international KYC with a non-US passport and selfie, and used the number to receive PayPal verification SMS on a Thai iPhone — no US residency required, no country restriction observed.
